Q&A

Favorite music genre?

Classical music. I grew up playing the flute and piano, and during the past couple of years I have started learning the organ. My mom is a professional flutist and we always had classical music playing at home and in the car. I love listening to classical music while working on homework—Jean-Pierre Rampal, Emmanuel Pahud, and James Galway are the ones repeatedly showing up on my playlist.

Favorite TV show?

The Office. I’ve watched it over and over, but it still makes me laugh every time.

What is your guilty pleasure?

Ritter Sport Dark Chocolate Marzipan bars. I discovered that I liked marzipan while living in Santiago, Chile, and I love any kind of dark chocolate. Put them together and that’s the perfect treat for me.

Favorite book?

The Beautiful and Damned by F. Scott Fitzgerald and Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen are tied for first. There are too many books I love, it’s hard to pick just one.

Favorite iconic chair?

Cesca chair by Marcel Breuer. I’ve always loved its simple, graceful form. I was lucky enough to find a knock-off pair at a thrift store, which I just had to snatch up. I’m enjoying those until I can save up to get the real thing.
